Merit Construction was selected by the Boy Scouts for a new dining hall at the camp on the shores of Watts Bar Lake. This new dining hall expands will serve up to 460 people per shift, with a new expanded kitchen and three-phase power upgrades. The project includes a 12,240 square-foot, one-story dining facility designed with heavy timber trusses and custom wood wainscotting, wall graphics, full-service commercial kitchen, (2) gathering porches, new restrooms accessible from the interior and exterior of the building, loading dock/dumpster area and other support spaces.
